Blurb:
Eveline Armstrong is fiercely loved and protected by her powerful clan, but outsiders consider her “touched.” Beautiful, fey, with a level, intent gaze, she doesn’t speak. No one, not even her family, knows that she cannot hear. Content with her life of seclusion, Eveline has taught herself to read lips and allows the outside world to view her as daft. But when an arranged marriage into a rival clan makes Graeme Montgomery her husband, Eveline accepts her duty—unprepared for the delights to come. Graeme is a rugged warrior with a voice so deep and powerful that his new bride can hear it, and hands and kisses so tender and skilled that he stirs her deepest passions.

Graeme is intrigued by the mysterious Eveline, whose silent lips are ripe with temptation and whose bright, intelligent eyes can see into his soul. As intimacy deepens, he learns her secret. But when clan rivalries and dark deeds threaten the wife he has only begun to cherish, the Scottish warrior will move heaven and earth to save the woman who has awakened his heart to the beautiful song of a rare and magical love.

Perfect ~ Keeper

I am a huge fan of Maya Banks Sweet Series and KGI series. She is a talented author that knows how to write in any genre, with a beautiful writing voice and it shows more in Never Seduce A Scot.

Graeme is an alpha male who is protective, sweet, loving, caring and honorable hero. The love he has for Eveline is beautiful. He puts her needs before his. After he falls in love with her and she lets him know she is not happy and wants to go home, he ask her to stay so he can show her that he can make their marriage work and do better with protecting her from his clan. It was a teary eye moment for me.

Eveline is a strong will woman and wants to show Graeme that she can be head of the Keep so she helps with the ladies in the Keep. All she wants is to be accepted by Graeme’s clan but ladies in the keep do not make it easy for her.

I loved Graeme and Eveline together. Their chemistry together is beautiful and of course Maya Banks has a way of writing sweet and toe curling sex scenes.

Graeme relationship with his sister Rorie and brothers Bowen and Teague are sweet and real. Bowen and Teague are amazing as they stick up for their brother. Rorie who I just adored and loved how her friendship grows with Eveline.

Never Seduce A Scot is a keeper for me. It was a feel good book about two people who were forced in a marriage, never new love but found it. Great start to a good series that I look forward to reading Bowen’s story in Highlander Most Wanted.

Review:

Perfect ~ Keeper

I actually read Double Time by Olivia Cunning first and I know totally out of order but fell in love with her writing voice and all her characters. Backstage Pass was just as good and hilarious. I do not think I have ever read an erotic romance that is a scorcher with so many LOL moments.

Olivia Cunning is a master at story telling and I think only she can pull off some of the Laugh Out Loud moments with a hero who is a sexy, helpless romantic and sometimes can be more of the chick in a relationship. That helpless romantic would be the main hero Brian, the Lead Guitarist and Composer for the band Sinners. I fell in love with him in the beginning when he first met Myrna and was drunk off his ass after a breakup. I usually do not fall for heroes who are too romantic. I really need more to them, like more alpha male, protective etc. Olivia just has an amazing way of writing that I wanted Brian all to my self. I loved how he treated Myrna right from start. He might not be the In-Your-Face-Alpha-Male but he is still sweet, protective and has a bit of jealousy. He does have his reason for sometimes needing reassurance in his relationship and it all goes back to his parents. The stuff he does for Myrna is beautiful, sexy and fun. OMG I was so happy I was alone at home reading the airport scene. Olivia made me almost pee my pants laughing so hard when they were trying to have a quickie in the airport bathroom and the guy in the next stall took a dump. This line might not make sense to you but it was ROTF, Laugh Out Loud, I actually read it a few times. Really to get a good feel of this scene you have to read the whole scene.

“They exited the stall and Brian knocked on the next stall. “Someone’s in here,” a startled man’s voice said.

“Yeah, dude. I heard. You picked a horrible time to take a shit. You know. Have a nice day.

Myrna the heroine I adored her the first time she meets the band members in the hotel bar. She has guts to go up to a band and sit with them so she can try to get some info for her work. Loved how she does not fall for any of their playboy ways or take any crap from them and gives it right back to them especially with them trying to get in her pants. She has had something bad happened to her in the past that she is hiding and trying to live a new life. I like how she has move forward and is trying to get on with her life but still does have some issues. She does not do relationships or fall in love. I loved her more when she stood up to his parents and gave them a mouthful on how they treat their son.

Brian and Myrna chemistry is sizzling right from the start. I loved them together. They do have their ups and downs which the downs can get pretty intense. Now the ups are steamy, sweet and fun. I not only loved how they connect in the bedroom, bathroom, dining room table, behind the bus, bedroom bus with a little backdoor activity, voyage, light BDSM and ménage (the sex scenes are erotic but well done and never the same) but they have fun together. I will never look at Ketchup the same. Different and very creative. I thought Brian was a sweetheart when he took her to dinner, then they walked on the beach and of course my favorite part is when she called his private beautiful and the outcome from it.

“It’s a fucking beast, Brian. You’re going to tear me in half with that thing!”

He looked stunned at first, but then laughed. “The only way to save yourself from my beast is to put it in your mouth.”

I love the band members relationship. They are so much fun to read about and just add so much to the story. Never a dull moment when they are together. The love and protectiveness they have for each other is real. They fight and also have fun. The hat scene with Eric is nasty but hilarious.

Sed cracked me up with his name usage for girls to use at the door to get backstage “Myrna Suxsed”. I loved how the first time he meets Myrna she will not give him the time of day. He is just baffled but later he has respect for her and their friendship grows.

The rest of the band members are awesome and I fell in love with them all in Double Time but it was nice to see how they were when single. They are all a bunch of sexy men who are definitely living the rock star life with their groupies. I do look forward to see how their loved ones bring them to their knees and tame them, especially Sed who’s story is next.

Backstage Pass is erotic romance at its best. Highly recommend if you are looking for a good read, with LOL moments, Scorching sex scenes and an actual plot that is not just about sex. You will fall in love with Brian, Myrna and the rest of the band members from Sinners.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Review:
I was excited to buy Can’t Buy Me Love and look forward to reading it. But it was not what I expected. The cover is delicious and the synopsis sounded interesting but the writing does not flow and almost all the characters fell flat, are mean and not very likable.
I was not feeling Luc. In the beginning I thought he was sweet to take care of his half sister Victoria by letting her and his nephew Jacob live with them. I liked how he is protective of her and Jacob especially when it comes to their abusive father Lyle. He is for sure the brooding hero who can not accept the fact that he is injured and might not be able to play hockey again and has serious issues about his past with his abusive father Lyle. The times he thinks of his past and his father are a bit sad but the writing did not pull me in where I wanted to weep for him. Just knowing the fact he was abused was sad.
Tara Jean the heroine was too wishy washy for me. One minute she is falling for Luc and the next out of the blue she turns into a bitch. I get she is trying to protect everyone on the ranch from her psycho ex but in one chapter she is sweet to Luc and the next bang she is bitchy.
Did not feel any chemistry with Luc and Tara Jean. Not when they were trying to make a go of their relationship. The sex scenes are boring and way too much talking and not the good “Dirty Talking”
All the secondary characters do play a important roll in the book but Victoria was a spoiled brat. I get she had everything she wanted before her husbands betrayal and his suicide and was taken care of but really I would think mother instincts would kick in and she would do what ever it took to care of her son and not be like I need my inheritance and I do not know how to work, I do not have experience. Then she lets her son see his grandfather who also abused her as a kid. The only two characters I found interesting were Luc’s Mother Celeste who I adored. As soon as she found out Lyle was abusing Luc she made sure he never went back to the ranch to see him when he was younger. I loved how Luc is a grown man and still his mother has the upper hand. I giggled during Lyle’s funeral when Luc is talking to Victoria and Celeste pinched his arm and when he was going to make a call, she took the phone away and told him, he was being disrespectful. The other character I liked and want to know more about is Eli. He seems mysterious and I am curious about him. I enjoyed how is kind and protective of Tara Jean.
Lyle was a mean character and even meaner in his will. That is when things start getting interesting. The story does take awhile to get to this part. Even though this book was just okay for me I am still interested to see how everything is played out with the land etc. from the will. Eli and Victoria story is next and even though she is not my favorite character I am still curious about Eli. I am going to read their story as I think this series does have potential
Review:
Rev It Up was the book I was looking forward to reading in The Black Knights Inc. Series. The synopsis is the one I liked best. I love reading books with a hero and heroine having a past and the hero coming back to get his second chance at love.
The story felt rush and at times was predictable. It does not flow right.
I lost interest in Jake when he started crying in the beginning when Michelle told him she did not love him. But then I did start getting interested in him again when he did show a jealous side when she has a date with another man and when he went all caveman on her when he wanted to take her to his hotel to talk. Then again it did feel like these scenes were just there to show a Jealous, Alpha male hero. I did not feel his protectiveness around her at times. He is staying in her house to protect her. She wakes up in the middle of the night because she heard a noise. When she runs into Jake he is checking some box on top the refrigerator that belong to her deceased husband Preacher and Jakes best friend who died in combat while with him. She lets him know she heard a noise but instead of checking it out right away he is talking to her about the box he found then he goes and check out what caused the noise.
Michelle has a huge secret that I kind of figured out in the prologue. I was just waiting when that secret would come out and the hospital scene I knew that was going to be the moment. The hospital scene is pretty intense when Jake finds out.
I was happy to read less of the different dialogue that was in the first two books but still would of enjoyed it more if the story flowed better.
I do not think I will continue this series. The yummy covers and great synopsis on the back would of for sure got my attention and would of bought. I gave all three books in the series a chance and the writing style is not for me.
Review:
I love Lily Graison’s Western Romance, Willow Creek Series and could not wait to see how she does in Contemporary Romance. Yeah baby she did not disappoint.
Tempt Me Not is a sassy, fun and sexy short novel. What I love most about Lily Graison is her beautiful writing voice. Tempt Me Not suck me right in from the beginning with her witty and fun characters that I could not help but fall in love with them.
Holly the heroine is a spitfire that goes head to head with Devin the hero. I love how she has guts and plays at his own game.
Devin is a yummy rock star that I wouldn’t mind being stuck in a cabin with. He definitely had me giggling with his little remarks to Holly. He is use to having woman falling at his feet but boy does Holly make him work for it.
Their chemistry is sexy and fun from the beginning. I enjoyed how their time together slowly builds and when it does it is hot.
Towards the end kept me on the edge of my seat and it rocked. The ending was perfect and loved how it was done. Only wish it was longer to have more time with Devin and Holly. Tempt Me Not is a great start to a fun and hot series that I look forward reading about the rest of the band members.
Review:
Perfect ~ Keeper
Olivia Cunning is my kind of woman dedicating Double Time to Randy Rhodes. Olivia you rock!
Double Time starts off sexy and fun and never lets up. I have only read one book with M/M/F and M/M, have to say Olivia had me wanting more by the time I was done reading. I love her writing voice. She had me giggling and definitely had to stick my head in the freezer many times with her scorching sex scenes. The characters are real and jump off the pages. There is so much more to Double Time then just hot sex with a delicious rock star. There are three main characters Reagan, Trey and Ethan that all have their own issues.
Trey the Rhythm Guitarist for the Rock Band Sinners is bi sexual and is done with men. He decides after meeting Reagan that he will just do M/F relationship. But through out their relationship he is realizing he is missing something and is not complete. That something is he needs to have the mixture of having men and woman in his life sexually. Loved Trey’s character I just wanted to lick him and all his Lollipops.
Reagan had her heart broken by an ex lover Ethan who is now her room mate and best friend. Ethan was dating Reagan and cheated on her with another man. I loved how she does not fall for Trey’s playboy lines and goes head to head with him in the beginning. When she finds out Trey is Bi sexual, she can not believe this is happening again to her. Trey is so sweet to tell her he will only be with her, but she knows deep down he needs to have both female and male to make him complete. She has fallen hard for Trey and she rather have him complete than not. So she comes up with the idea of while they are together the only man he can sleep with will be Ethan. Reagan had me smiling when she did not try to change Trey but figured out a solution. I loved how she put his needs before hers and excepted him as he is.
Ethan is Reagan’s over protective alpha male best friend and room mate. He has been secretly still in love with Reagan but knows she just thinks he is gay and not bi sexual. He knows that Trey is Bi sexual and Reagan does not. He has already hurt her feelings by his betrayal and does not want her to go through it again. While he is protecting her from Trey he is also falling for him. I loved how he is still in love with Reagan and is very protective of her.
The chemistry is hot right from the beginning with Trey and Reagan, then it is a scorcher with all three. I thought my poor kindle was going to catch on fire. Reagan has never had a ménage before. She is nervous and not sure she can go through it. Not only did I love reading about Reagan, Trey and Ethan together I also enjoyed Ethan and Trey together. Ethan and Trey chemistry together was off the charts hot. Ethan is your sexy dominate alpha male in and out of the bedroom. Who has penetrated men before but never let them penetrate him. I thought that was interesting. He has always been dominate with his lovers and would like to know how it would be to be submissive but can not do it. Now Trey on the other hand has done everything with men. While he is with Ethan he is enjoying being submissive but is also missing being dominate as he is usually dominate with his other lovers. He does not look into his lovers eyes (male and female) while making love. I felt like I was right there on Reagan, Trey and Ethan’s journey. I loved how it was the three of them that helped each other do the things they never did. I am a huge sucker for nibbling on the lips and there was definitely M/F, M/M lip nibbling.
The secondary characters add so much to the book. Dare who is Trey’s brother is yummy and I do want more of him. The brotherly love is funny and sweet. The rest of the band members are so much fun. I love the relationship the Sinners have. They are so close they are like one big happy family. It made me want to jump on board their bus and join in.
I am a little confused as on Olivia website that this is book 5 in The Sinners On Tour series but is listed on book sites as the 3rd. Since this is my first time reading The Sinners On Tour series I was not lost at all. Yes almost everybody seemed to already be a couple but it just made we want to read their story to see how they got to be a couple.
Olivia Cunning world of Rock Stars blew me away. Double Time was my first read by Olivia and it will not be my last. I am officially a Sinners fan and Olivia is now one of my favorite authors.
