Sexy Snippet #1

He pauses, moistening his lips with his tongue and then says, "If you were to let me fuck you, you would have to let me own you."

 Sexy Snippet #2

He crawls his way on top of me, kissing and licking and biting my skin from my thighs all the way up to my throat and he holds my arms above my head so that I can't grasp him. His wolfish eyes study my mouth and then find my eyes and he says, "I'm going to fuck you so hard... God, you have no fucking idea." His words cut a path of pleasure from my ear all the way down into the throbbing wetness between my legs.  He bites my tongue and then kisses me violently...

Sorry lovelies that is all you get today. Do not want to spoil the outcome for you. I do not know about you, but OMG his words for sure had me throbbing with wetness between my legs.  J.A. Redmerski sure knows how to write  New Adult steamy scenes with a delicious dominant hero, Andrew.

YA Review: Fearless by Brigid Kemmerer

Fearless (Elemental #1.5)
by Brigid Kemmerer

Being a force of nature doesn’t keep you safe.

Hunter Garrity is used to watching his back. The kids at school sense something different about him. And they’re right.

Hunter has powers that have nothing to do with how hard he can throw a punch.

Maybe that’s what Clare Kasten is picking up. She’s shy, quiet, and intense, but she’s sought him out. There’s no telling what she wants from him.

But Hunter knows enough to sense a secret when it’s close. And getting close to Clare is a danger he’s ready to face…

I am a fan of the sexy mysterious Hunter in Storm (Elemental #1). Fearless is a super short, easy to read in no time novel about how Hunter became the way he is and what led him to The Merrick brothers in Storm (Elemental #1). He is younger in Fearless and clueless about girls. It was a treat to see him before he became the sexy, mysterious, tattoo, piercing and Goth, Punk, New age style hero who I fell head over heals for in Storm. Even though he is not the main hero in Storm he was for sure the one that got my heart pounding with his flirting with Becca. I enjoyed the moments with his dad, uncle and of course Casper his uncle cop dog.

My Pick:
Everything Changes
by Shey Stahl
YA/NA

Blurb by Goodreads

I knew a boy once.
He was a boy that changed everything.

I didn't know Parker O’Neil outside of the occasional smile and wink. The AMA Supercross racer came to our small town one winter, and I had no idea what he was capable of. How could I have known that he would change my life forever that summer? Eventually, the occasional smile became a smile I grew to love and longed to see. The occasional wink became a gesture that made my soul sway and my heart ache. In the canyons of the desert, he showed me his lifestyle and his love.

What I didn't see was the control he had over me. It was a power the glitz and glamour of his professional lifestyle had and eventually what tore apart any life I thought I knew. In his world of banging bars and soaring jumps, there was no room for someone like me. But for five years, every time he called or touched me, everything changed again. It was a touch that could heal anything and a smile that could light even the darkest nights.

Why:
Oh I am in love with this cover and the blurb. My kind of novel with a sexy dirt-biking hero. Love how the cover shows the hero and heroine walking in the sand dunes with the wind blowing. The cover models look beautiful and loving how they are dressed.  There is something I like when a hero walks ahead of the heroine while holding her hand. I can  not write in words, I just know I love when my hubby does it. I feel safe and protected. I think it makes the hero more of a leader than a follower. Love how the cover has a haze over it with the bright blue font. While browsing found this lovely cover then got all excited it is about dirt-bike racing.  I must have this novel like now.

I have not read anything by Shey Stahl. Have you heard of Everything Changes? Have you read any of Shey Stahl novels.

ARC Review: Deep Autumn Heat by Elisabeth Barrett

Deep Autumn Heat (Star Harbor #1)
by Elisabeth Barrett
Publisher: Random House Publishing Group
Purchase Links: Amazon Barnes & Noble

Blurb by Goodreads

In this sexy new Star Harbor romance series, featuring the too-tempting Grayson brothers, a celebrity chef turns up the heat for a local cafĂ© owner—and things start to sizzle.

Lexie Meyers decides there’s nothing sweeter than watching Sebastian Grayson’s perfect, wicked mouth devour her coconut cake. He’s hot, he’s hungry, and he’s sizing her up like she’s the best thing on the menu. But she’s been burned in the past and flings just aren’t her thing. Too bad Sebastian can’t resist a challenge.

Worldly, famous, and notorious with the ladies, Seb had planned a weekend of fishing and relaxation with his brothers. Until Lexie, with her kissable lips and frosty “get lost” attitude, makes him want to forget his culinary empire and create some magic with her. After he fires up his charm—including challenging her to a televised cook-off to break through her resistance—it’s now hotter in the bedroom than it is in the kitchen and Lexie isn’t sure whether she’s lost her mind . . . or just her heart.

I am a huge fan of gorgeous brothers novels. In Deep Autumn Heat we are introduced to the sexy Grayson brothers and first up is Sebastian “Seb”. The delicious chef who left town to pursue his career. Now he is back home for the annual get together with his brothers. Seb had me the first moment with his intensive staring at Lexie then I was a goner with his arrogant and alpha male attitude that does know what personal space means.

Loved Lexie character who is strong will with a backbone that is not over the top. Her last relationship ended on a serious bad note that brought her to start a new life in Star Harbor. She has no problem going head to head with Seb.

The sexual tension and sex scenes are hot that are fan your self moments. Lexie is a great match for Seb. He is not into long haul relationships. He dates for a period of time and then is done. When he meets feisty Lexie he realize she is a good person and does not want to hurt her. The problem is he can not stay away, stop kissing and wanting to touch her. This leads to a lot of hot and cold moments with him. Lexie thinks he his playing mind games and has already been down this road from her ex. She has no problem letting him know how she feels. At the same time she wants him to kiss and touch her.

For me the best parts are when Seb and Lexie were in a scene, knew it was going to be good. Loved their moments together. And of course loved when the brothers were together. Had some good family, brotherly love moments. Enjoyed all brothers as they have their own voice and personalities. I did feel like the stalker parts and her ex had more time in the novel than Seb and Lexie. I enjoyed the stalker and ex storyline but at times it did drag on. When found who the stalker was I was a bit shocked did not see that one coming. The ex I felt was pushed to make Seb her knight and shining armor and was predictable.

Aside from that I enjoyed reading Deep Autumn Heat. I like Elisabeth Barrett writing voice and do look forward to reading more of the yummy Grayson brothers.

Release: August 5, 2013

Blurb by Goodreads

Presley Flynn is ripe to experience her secret fantasies . . . and Dmitri Pratt wants nothing more than to fulfill them. Once inside the elite Club Sin in Las Vegas, Presley is nervous but excited—and determined to surrender to her every desire. Dmitri is her Master, and his touch is like fire. With each careful, calculated caress, he unleashes her wildest inhibitions, giving her unimagined pleasure.

Presley is different than the other submissives Dimitri has mastered. The BDSM lifestyle is new to her, and so are the games they play at Club Sin. From the start, Presley stirs emotions in him far beyond the raw purity between a dom and the perfect sub. For the ecstasy they share goes beyond the dungeon igniting a passion that claims the very depths of the heart.

Why:
I love it when the heroine is behind the hero, clawing his sexy shirtless front. I have only read Stacey Kennedy's Frost Bite series and loving it. I want to read Claimed. Sounds like my kind of read with a BDSM club and Dom name Dimitri. Loving that name for a hero which I think I have only read  in Paranormal novels.

The Lawman (Willow Creek #1)
by Lily Graison

The Willow Creek Series, Book 1

On the run from her ex-lover, jilted by a no-show husband and now mistaken for a whore in the Diamond Back saloon, Abigail Thornton doesn’t think things can get any worse. That is until a single slap to a man’s face starts a barroom brawl that lands her in the last place she expected to be.

Town Marshal Morgan Avery wants nothing more than to wash away the trail-dust and sleep for a week, preferably with a soft, willing woman by his side. Instead, he gets Abigail Thornton – all one hundred pounds of her thrust at him seconds before a fist connects with his face. Breaking up the fight takes more effort than he wants to admit and when the last man falls he finds Abigail still standing and not looking the least bit contrite.

Throwing her into the town jail for the night would salve his wounded pride and then he will let her go. Or that was the plan. When morning comes he finds himself oddly reluctant to do so. Miss Thornton is hiding something and he aims to find out what, even if he has to bed her to do so. But will one night in her bed be enough?

TBQ's Book Palace and I have started a Shifter discussion blog on goodreads.

Promise we do not bite. Maybe a little nibble here and there from the heroes.

Review: Locked by Maya Cross

Locked (The Alpha Group #1)
by Maya Cross
Purchase Links: Amazon  Barnes & Noble

Blurb by Goodreads

Who is Sebastian Lock?

The bar Sophia Pearce is in doesn’t look like much. The wine is bad and the decor worse. But when a sudden attack of curiosity leads her to sneak past security and into the back room, she discovers something unimaginable. The most lavish party she’s ever laid eyes on, in the most unlikely of places.

But that’s nothing compared to what comes next, to the man she meets back there. Sebastian Lock. Gorgeous, commanding, and radiating charm, he is exactly the sort of silver-tongued rake Sophia has sworn to avoid. Unfortunately, he doesn’t care much for her promises.

Every instinct tells her to run, but the chemistry between them is as inescapable as gravity. Soon, he’s opening her eyes to a whole new world of pleasures, pleasures she never thought she’d enjoy.

There’s just one problem. Sebastian is more than he seems. Between the famous company he keeps and the almost paranoid secrecy of his employers, he’s a puzzle Sophia can’t quite solve, and his insistence on keeping things casual forces her to confront the demons of her past.

Can she learn to trust again? Or will Sebastian’s privacy tear them apart?

Contains light BDSM, including spanking, restraint, and anal play

Note: This book is the first part of a trilogy that is designed to be read together, much like The Blackstone Affair. Sebastian and Sophia will get their happily ever after, but not until the last book.

Lockout: The Alpha Group Book Two - Due May 2013
Unlocked: The Alpha Group Book Three - Due June/July 2013

Yes!! Finally a novel that has a beautiful sensual cover of the hero/heroine and not just an object. Lately novels are coming out with covers like Fifty Shades Of Grey using an object, even some of my favorite well known authors are changing their old novels covers to this or making their new novels covers like this. Thank You Maya Cross for not only a superb cover where I was able to picture the cover models as Sebastian and Sophia but a well written novel with strong will characters that feel so real.

Ok I am just going to come out and say it, I freakin want smooth talking Sebastian with his sexy suit wearing-tattoo-dirty talking mouth that he knows how to use in the bedroom. He does not date and love how he makes no apologies for it. He is so busy with work he likes to have casual flings that do not require the wining and dining. It is easier for him this way since he never knows if he has to leave at last minute on business. He knows what he wants and goes after it. What he wants is Sophia. He finds her to be intriguing.

Sophia is a strong will character that is not your clumsy damsel in distress heroine. She is gusty and has no problems letting others know how she feels. Her directness is perfect and not over the top. She stands up for herself and loved it more when an incident happens with her and Sebastian that she stuck up for herself.

The slow build to their relationship is perfect. It does not draw out or bang having sex right off the bat. He is persistent in having a casual fling with her but she is hesitant because her last boyfriend cheated on her. The sexual tension is hot the sex is steamy and well written with light BDSM. I loved how they both are doing something that they never done before. He never dates as in wining and dining and she has never had a casual fling.

Awesome cliffhanger that has me wanting more now. Locked is a keeper with light BDSM and characters you will fall in love with.  I can not wait to see how the story plays out in Lockout (The Alpha Group #2) to be release May 2013.

Review: Midnight Playground by Eliza Gayle

Midnight Playground (Pleasure Playground #1)
by Eliza Gayle
Purchase Links: Amazon Barnes & Noble

Blurb by Goodreads

Eve's desperate denial only means one thing...she has a lot to learn.

Eve Blake has been working at Altered Ego, a studio specializing in fetish photography, for three months when a custom order comes in for a plus-sized redhead. Ready for an adventure, she volunteers for the job. Chase, her boss, reluctantly accepts. Maybe pretending to be a sexual slave for Chase’s camera will get her one step closer to the two men she thinks can satisfy even her darkest needs.

Chase can’t believe he’s agreed to this deal. The cardinal rule in any business is not to get involved with your employees and that includes your sexy receptionist. He and his partner Murphy learned that lesson the hard way. Now Chase has a hunch the first time they touch their rope to Eve’s creamy flesh, there will be no turning back. They’ll have to have her.

One shoot leads to another and Eve finds herself at a playground at midnight. When the scene takes a dark turn, Eve sinks deeper into sensation at the hands of two masters who push for her ultimate surrender. Will she reach the limit of how far she can go, or will the ties that bind form bonds of love?

Huge Thank You to Eliza Gayle for having a plus size heroine. It is nice to have a novel where the heroine has beautiful curves. Loved it more that Chase and Murphy loved her curves.

Chase and Murphy sure know how to tease with their dirty talking mouths. The sexual tension was hot right from the beginning with Chase and Eve just talking. Wow, having them both in the studio and the Playground doing naughty things to Eve is a scorcher. Loved how they wanted her to realize how beautiful she is. Chase taking photos while Murphy did some amazing things with Eve containing a rope really got my girly bits tingly. The Playground scene is the best. Different and loved every moment of it. Loved both heroes. Chase was more of the off Standish one, at first does not want another ménage relationship as the last one ended bad. Murphy the sexy, smoothing talking, tattoo hero knows she is perfect for them. Loved when he caresses her and sweet talks her when she was not sure about some things.

The only problem I had was the whole inner slut scene. I am getting use to a lot of erotic novels thinking it is sexy to use the word “Slut” by the hero. I personally do not find it sexy. I was a little turned off in this scene but of course got over it quickly.

Loved Midnight Playground and look forward to reading Power Play (Pleasure Playground #2)

ARC Review: Tucker's Fall by Eliza Gayle

Tucker's Fall (Purgatory Masters #1)
by Eliza Gayle
Publisher: Gypsy Ink Books
Purchase Links: Amazon  Barnes & Noble

Blurb by Goodreads

Scandalized professor Maggie Cisco returns to her hometown to lick her wounds and reconsider her future. Her years of personal and professional research into the BDSM lifestyle has landed her in jail, in divorce court and now in the headlines of more newspapers than she cares to count. The worst of all? The entire debacle is being blamed on a bestselling book she hasn’t even read!

Just when she thinks her only solution is a tell all memoir, a snowstorm puts her in the path of stunningly handsome, insanely rich and equally intense, Tucker Lewis.

Tucker remembers Maggie well. They once shared a mind-numbing kiss at the annual St. Mary’s carnival when her boyfriend wasn’t looking. No stranger to scandal, he looks past public opinion to the submissive craving a master’s touch and decides then and there what he wants. He’s going after Maggie and her heart’s kinkiest desires.

Unfortunately, no amount of money can change the sins of the past and when they’re certain they know everything there is to know about each other, one discovers a secret they aren’t prepared for.

I loved Eliza Gayle, Midnight Playground (Pleasure Playground #1) and was excited she was coming out with a new series Purgatory Masters, Tucker’s Fall being the first in this series. I was a bit disappointed as it is a 2 star - Ok novel for me. I am a huge  fan of BDSM novels but was not feeling Tucker‘s Fall. I could not connect with the characters as they were a bit flat. The BDSM scenes did nothing for me as Tucker commanding Maggie what to do. I wanted better dirty talking and more soft caresses to get my heart pounding. For a Dom he sure does not know when Maggie was ready for a scene in the club that made her take off crying. Even admitting he made a mistake and should of not assumed she was ready. Could of done with out her falling to the floor in the car during a sex scene. I felt this scene was pushed for them to have some kind of good laugh and for her to mention maybe it was a sign they were not meant to be together.

As for the plot I felt like I was reading two stories. One about Maggie coming home to mend her wounds and then later on in the novel, the other which I found more interesting was about something to do with Tucker, Levi, Mason and Tucker’s Father and might be connected to the club. Really have no clue what is going with that since I am left hanging. I would of liked less inner thoughts with Maggie and Tucker of what they thought of each other, sex scenes cut back a little and maybe more info on what happened with Tucker, Levi and Mason.

I really thought this novel would be about sexy Doms from the Club and each novel would be about a different character. I am assuming from the ending of this novel it is about a bad incident the owners and good friends Tucker, Mason and Levi did.

Even though I only thought Tucker’s Fall was an OK novel I will still read book 2. I am curious to know what they did that was so bad. I loved Eliza Gayle writing voice in Midnight Playground (Pleasure Playground #1) and hope I get to see it in Purgatory Masters #2. If Tucker’s Fall had more info on the incident with Levi, Mason and Tucker I would of rated it 3 stars - Liked it.

YA Review: Onyx by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Onyx (Lux #2)
by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Purchase Links: Amazon Barnes & Noble
E-book 416 pages

Blurb:
Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Kudos to Jennifer L. Armentrout dedicating Onyx to book lovers and book bloggers. I love reading authors dedications and acknowledgements. Jennifer thanked book lovers and bloggers. She also gives thanks to Liz Pelletier, the editor behind the Lux series. Thanking her, because she is the one who demanded that Jennifer put more Daemon into Onyx. Thank you. Thank You. Thank you to Liz for demanding more Daemon in Onyx.

I loved Obsidian, but Jennifer L. Armentrout out did her self with Onyx. Onyx has distrust, betrayal, sadness, happiness, edge of your seat action, jealousy, a lot of surprises, and it is more steamy.

Things between Daemon and Katy are a bit different. She has strong feelings for Daemon as he does for her. But she does not know if his feelings for her are real, because of the way he treated her badly when they first met and then he saved her in Obsidian and now she does not know if it is the connection between them that he is feeling or is it his true feelings. Now there is a new kid, Blake in school and is paying attention to Katy. She wants to put all the alien mojo behind her as much as she can and wants to be normal and date a normal guy. But things are not what they all seemed to be.

Daemon is still just Daemon. I loved how he finds out all Katy wants is to be wooed liked a normal girl. He definitely woos her and of course he loves a challenge. He makes it his mission to show her his feelings for her are real and not because of the connection they have now. You definetly see a jealous and over protective side of him when  Blake starts paying attention to Katy.

There are tons of fun, cute and steamy scenes that are highlighted worthy. Daemon does and I mean does make it his mission to woo Katy. Loved how he brought her a rose too school...*Sigh*. Of course loving the Reindeer Sock and book video scene. All the scenes with Blake are definitely fun. Daemon is still the smartass and even funnier when jealous. Oh boy Daemon knows how to kick ass when any harm is done to Katy. Loved how he would never call him Blake, every other name that starts with a *B* but not Blake. In Obsidian I loved how he was always poking Katy in the back with his pen in class, yeah still got some of those adorable scenes.

I was missing Dee and her friendship with Katy. I love Dee’s character but she is not in as much as in Obsidian.

Enjoyed how Onyx is showing more and more on The DOD and Arums. They are creepier and just evil.

Towards the end is intense and a nail biter. Things happen that I was not sure if ever can be fixed. At one point I was afraid to turn my kindle. I was not sure if it was going to end a cliffhanger, but to my surprise the story kept going and got to see a different side of Daemon. Daemon is still swoon worthy and more in Onyx.

I love good cliffhangers but did not get it in Onyx and I was fine with that because Jennifer L. Armentrout has a way of ending her novels that you still want more now. Kudos to Jennifer for not making us wait a year for Opal (Lux #3). Still have to wait till December but hey I will take that than like some authors who can take up to a year before the next in a series is released. I look forward to see where Jennifer takes us in Opal. The Lux series is a keeper for me as one day would love to read it from the beginning and back to back.

If you have not read Shadow yet it is a must to really get a better feel on Onyx. There are things that happen in Onyx that will be so much better if read Shadow before it. In my opinion I would read Obsidian, Shadows then Onyx. Save a day of just reading when read Onyx. It is hard to put down and you will forget everything and everyone.
